Well is our favorite beach! It's stunning! The cabins are cozy and a short walk from the beach. Kayak and surf board rentals are available during the summer months and taps is played at sunset! We just love it!!
I didn't get a picture, but if I did it would be a pile of dog s--t to match the campground.
Great place to get together with family, hit the water and have a BBQ cookout. They have a campground where you can camp out or stay in a cabin. The fee to get in the beach area is $10.00 per vehicle. It's also very close to a few winerys and orchards where you can go peach or Apple picking.
We called well in advance and were told that they do not take reservations. We are located 6 hours away and were concerned with not having a reservation. We were assured that if we came in on a Wednesday they would have "plenty of sites available." We arrived on Wednesday as scheduled and were told they were full but people were leaving in the morning. We started calling the office as soon they opened (actually before) when we finally got an answer we were told "those sites were already re-rented for the day." If you have any kind of a drive at all do not count on staying at this place!! Almost every other park was also full and we ended up having to drive 40 minutes out of our way! If you plan to stay in this area MAKE RESERVATIONS somewhere else!
We called in advance. They said they had sites available. When we arrived they were still sure they had sites, but did not know which ones. We drove through all 3 campground "loops". No sites available. These people are clueless!!!
Small and friendly beautiful beach. If you like to camp close to beach. Good beach concessions. Clean bathhouse just not fancy. Awesome dunes and creeks and paths or just hang at beach all day.we love traditional "taps" played every day at sundown. People come just to hear and see sun dipping into the lake. Very near many vinyards and shopping in st. Joe. Perfect. Our favorite beach camp we go ever year. Good night Weko
